Copiosis is both a big idea and a small, determined effort to help it take root.
What we're doing
Copiosis is a proposed way to run society without money — one where everyone's needs are met and people are rewarded for the good they do. The name is Latin for abundance: wealthy, richly supplied, well-equipped. That's the world we think is now within reach, and our work is to describe it clearly, test the thinking in the open, and help more people see it.
Where it came from
The idea was founded by Perry Gruber, who first sketched it more than a decade ago and has developed it in the open ever since. Today it's carried by a growing, largely volunteer community of people from many walks of life who share one conviction: that we can build something better than what we have — without fighting anyone to do it.
How we work
In the open, and by invitation. The idea belongs to everyone who takes it up. We share what we learn, welcome hard questions, and try to model — in how we operate — the same generosity the system is built on.
