Copiosis didn't appear overnight. Its founder, Perry Gruber, spent more than a decade tending it: naming its parts, working out the hard, unglamorous details — how reward could be created rather than collected, how needs could be met without a price tag, how a society might move from here to there without anyone having to fight for it. That kind of patient, careful work is exactly what turns a bright idea into something buildable.
Recently, Perry reflected that Copiosis was never really his alone to build. It's easy to read a line like that as stepping back. We read it as an invitation. Every idea big enough to matter eventually outgrows the person who first gave it words — and the best thing a founder can do is tend it well, then hand it forward. History is generous with examples: ideas dismissed as impractical in one decade become obvious in the next, not because the idea changed, but because the world caught up to it.
Why now
What makes this moment different isn't wishful thinking — it's that so many conditions are quietly lining up at once. The kind of world Copiosis describes was once purely aspirational. Increasingly, it's becoming both technologically plausible and the very thing people are actively reaching for.

None of these is Copiosis. But together they're building the ground it grows in — and they're proof that the world isn't just open to a better arrangement; it's searching for one.

The excitement isn't that we've arrived. It's how much road is still ahead, and how good the conditions are for the journey.
